Tunis - Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Development Jean-Marc Ayrault will begin a two-day visit to Tunisia on Thursday, March 17".
He will represent France in a ceremony to pay tribute to victims of the March 18, 2015 attack on Bardo museum and will extend to the Tunisians a message of solidarity and friendship", according to the French Foreign Office website.
During his visit, Jean-Marc Ayrault will be received by President Beji Caid Essebsi, Prime Minister Habib Essid, Speaker of the House of People's Representatives Mohamed Ennaceur, as well as his counterpart Khemaies Jhinaoui.
This visit will be an opportunity to discuss "bilateral co-operation in all fields and priority objectives for youth, employment and development of disadvantaged regions," the same source said.
Jean-Marc Ayrault will inaugurate at his visit to Tunisia the new French Institute of Tunis, "place of meeting and cultural exchanges" between Tunisia and France.
