ADDIS TO HOST AFRICAN MUSIC, CULTURAL EXCHANGE FESTIVAL

ADDIS ABABA, The First African Music and Cultural Exchange Festival (AMCEF) will be held in Addis Ababa on May 27 and 28.

The festival will showcase an array of vibrant African traditional and contemporary music, dance, art, food, fashion, main stage concert and experiential zones.

The African Union (AU) is supporting AMCEF's aims to bring Africans together in celebration of Africa Day in what will be an annual event.

The main stage concert to be held both evenings will include perfrmances by well-known local and international African artists, such as Oliver Mtukudzi (Zimbabwe), Jose Chameleone (Uganda), Patoranking (Nigeria), Mafikizolo and DJ Clock (South Africa) and DJ Adrian (Kenya).

Leading Ethiopian performers such as Jonny Ragga, Helen Berhe, Berry and the Zema Habesha Traditional Group will also be performing.
